Bike mechanic & salesperson (temp)

Bob’s Bikes is located in Albany, WA supporting a thriving bike scene. We provide a high quality of workmanship and honest, reliable service to our customers.

We are seeking an outgoing and hardworking individual to fill the role of a bicycle mechanic and salesperson in our busy store between the 1^st of July and 15^th of November 2019. This role may be part-time or full time. Depending on market demand, this role may be extended for further employment.

You will be responsible for bicycle servicing and repairs, customer service and advice, quotes, sales and bicycle assembly.

To be considered for this role you must be:

• Enthusiastic about bicycles
• Proficient in bicycle repairs of all types (Mountain, Road, BMX, E-Bike and Commute)
• Able to provide customers with sound knowledge and recommendations to enhance their riding experience
• Have knowledge of current bicycle technologies
• Have good people skills
• Able to work part of a team as well as independently
• Punctual, have good time management skills and finish tasks to deadlines
• Have good communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Able to follow instruction
• Be self-motivated
• High attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Honest and reliable

These skills and experience are highly desirable:

• Proficient in bicycle suspension servicing
• Proficient in hydraulic brake servicing
• Bike shop experience
• Proficient in bicycle and accessory sales
