Sintered Brake Pads
If you ride in wet or muddy conditions, are an aggressive rider, or descend a lot, then a sintered brake pad will be the best option for you.
Sintered pads have a metal-based compound that works well in extreme conditions. Mud, dirt, and water do not accelerate pad wear on sintered pads. However, sintered pads can be a little noisier when they’re wet or hot.
Organic Brake pads
Organic pads have a softer compound with less metal-based material. This means they’re not quite as resistant to heat and wear but are quieter.
